Gunnar Henderson Had The Skills To Become A Division I College Basketball Player, And Would Have Wanted To Play At Auburn

On today's Pardon My Take... GUNNAR HENDERSON! The SS for the Baltimore Orioles joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter on today's show to make his pitch to be drafted in the second annual PMT "Dingers Only" league. At the time that this blog is being written, Henderson has 26 home runs, which is the third most in all of Major League Baseball. In fact, Henderson is behind two guys named Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani. You may have heard of them.

As good as Henderson is at baseball, there is actually an alternate universe where Gunnar could have been a Division I college basketball player. He was actually the Alabama State Player of the Year for hoops after averaging 17 points and 11 rebounds. So, we had our Orioles super fan, E-Bo, in for the interview, and he asked Henderson, what would his collegiate basketball career have looked like if he decided to take that path? Gunnar's answer is below:

Man, it would have been AWESOME to watch Gunnar Henderson compete in the SEC in college basketball. I feel like the combo of him and Bruce Pearl would have been must-watch television. Instead, we have to settle for him tearing up Major League Baseball and hitting dingers as the Orioles look to continue their great season.
