Decent Day: Cam Young Shoots A 59 At The Travelers During An Insane Round, Cards Just The 13th Ever Sub-60 Round In PGA History

I know a 59 has been shot before, hell a 59 has been shot at the Travelers before, but it doesn't matter. Hearing that number for a round of golf is insane. I saw a guy shoot a 60 on 9 holes in league night this week (not me, assholes. 41 here.) I also know the difference between pros and Thursday night league players, doesn't mean I can't be floored seeing a 59.

I can only imagine this sort of feeling. Every golfer has likely had it at some point in their life. The feeling of just not blading a chip/chunking a chip, hitting a fairways. Everything feels good. Maybe you're wearing a lucky polo shirt from store.barstoolsports.com or a hat from the very same website. Whatever it might be, you just feel it. A little pep in the step from the cart to the green or cart to tee box. You grip it and rip it, a little twirl and in the fairway. Now imagine a couple million dollars on the line and you're in that feeling. That's what happened with Cam Young. Obviously the leaders still need to play, but guess who is now tied on top of the leaderboard? A dude with a 59. Even crazier he did it without even hitting fairways:

24 putts will do the trick. Just an insane day. Young is going to win a major at some point, he's too good not to. This is just a reminder of what he's capable of.
