FLAGSTAFF, AZ (AZFamily) — Arizona’s Family obtained court documents detailing the arrest of the husband of a missing Flagstaff woman, which said blood was found at the house and neighbors saw the couple fight before she disappeared.

Daniel Anthony Paduchowski, 58, was arrested on Monday, a day after he reported his wife, 45-year-old Kelly Paduchowski, missing.

Police said on Tuesday Kelly may be the victim of a homicide.

According to the court paperwork, neighbors heard loud screams from a woman around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.

One neighbor reportedly saw Kelly lying on the ground in the backyard, motionless on her stomach. Daniel was on top of her with his hands on her shoulder area, police said.

Five minutes later, her husband saw Kelly lying on her side, motionless but Daniel was gone.

A few minutes later, both were gone from the backyard.

Court paperwork said that about 90 minutes later, the neighbor saw Daniel using a garden hose to spray where Kelly was lying.

Police said Daniel told them he last saw Kelly around 1:30 p.m., saying she was going to Lake Mary for a run and a swim.

Earlier that day, Daniel said he and Kelly rode bikes together at Schultz Creek Trail.

He reported her missing just after 7:30 p.m.

According to court records, police spotted fresh blood outside the garage door at the Paduchowskis’ home while they were there interviewing Daniel.

They also found blood on the patio that included a bloody footprint, investigators said.

Officers also reportedly saw a gray shirt, pants and a hat that appeared to belong to Kelly inside a trash can.

Court paperwork said when authorities confronted him that Kelly’s disappearance was suspicious and that he lied to them, he didn’t confirm or deny any information. He said he wanted a lawyer.

Police said Daniel appeared to have injuries on his hands and his knee and referred to Kelly in the past tense, saying she “was a beautiful woman.”

Daniel was arrested and booked into jail for aggravated assault and possession of dangerous drugs.

His bond was set at $500,000.

Kelly’s car was found at Campbell Mesa Trailhead, where Daniel was seen on surveillance footage.
