Man fatally struck by NJ Transit train

GLADSTONE, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- A man was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train that was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken early Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The collision happened was hit at approximately 5:05 a.m. near the Murray Hill Station in Gladstone.

The victim was only identified by officials as a man. There were no injuries reported to the five customers or crew on board, the NJ Transit said.

The Gladstone Branch Service in both directions between Murray Hill and Summit has been suspended.

NJ Transit police are at the scene and leading the investigation.
