After four long years, some joy is returning to the ice cream world.

Ben & Jerry's has announced that its annual Free Cone Day is back this year!

Free Cone Day will happen on Monday, April 3 at participating Scoop Shops between noon and 8 p.m.

And there's no limit -- you can keep returning for as many free cones as you want. You can try any flavor, from a classic like Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, which Ben & Jerry's invented over three decades ago, to a brand new flavor, like Lights! Caramel! Action!, which was just introduced this year.

"The day is still about fans," the company said in a statement. "In addition to more ice cream than our scoopers can shake their scoops at, our Scoop Shops around the world add their own swirl of fun to Free Cone Day."

The chain will also be partnering with local non-profits to raise awareness for special causes.

The company is setting its scooping sights on an all new, all-time goal to make this Free Cone Day the biggest and best ever -- with a goal to serve well over a million scoops.

Free Cone Day started back in 1979 as Ben & Jerry's way of thanking everyone for the support they showed during the company's first year of business in a renovated gas station in Burlington, Vermont. Fast forward over 40 years and now the day is celebrated in Scoop Shops across the world in 35 countries.
