A mother and son team won over “Wheel of Fortune” host Vanna White on a recent episode.
The 92-year old mom, Liz, and her son, KC, took home over $65,000 in prize money, according to Yahoo.
“She spent the first 88 years of her life in Oklahoma with my dad. They, for 62 years, traveled the world, a hundred countries and seven continents. He passed, she moved down five years ago to be with me. And I say, you know, the first 18 years of my life you taught me how to use a spoon, do all the things, watch ‘Wheel of Fortune.’ And then the last five years I’ve been able to try to give something back to her,” KC said about his mom.
The first game Liz took on was named “THE ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME,” to which she quipped, “that’s this.”
Liz nailed that puzzle and another later, earning a trip to Antigua. Combined with her son’s correct answers, the pair earned a trip to the bonus round.
Liz chose Food and Drink for her category in the bonus and won an extra $40,000, bringing mom and son’s total to $65,500, plus the trip.
White then had Liz on the “Wheel of Fortune” TikTok, where she said it had been the favorite show she’s worked on in her 41 years hosting because it was “so special.” The two also shared a warm hug.
“It couldn’t have happened without you,” Liz told her.
