Gwyneth Paltrow wants everyone to know she’s not starving.

The actress and Goop founder recently came under criticism after a Q&A on her Instagram story where she discussed her current diet. This followed an episode of the podcast “The Art of Being Well” where she discussed said diet with Dr. Will Cole.

“I think it’s important for everybody body to know that I was doing a podcast with my doctor. So, this is ap person I’ve been working with for over two years now to deal with some chronic stuff,” Paltrow said in her social media story, according to PEOPLE.

The “Shakespeare in Love” actor said she has long COVID and she undertook her current diet to deal with it.

“I have long COVID, and the way it manifests for me is very high levels of inlammation over time. So, I’ve been working with Dr. Cole to really focus on foods that aren’t inflammatory. So, lots of cooked vegetables, all kinds of protein, healthy carbs to really lower inflammation. It’s been working really well,” she said.

Paltrow added that the diet is based on “medical results and extensive testing that I’ve done over time.”

She stressed her appearance and diet discussion were not meant as advice for anyone else to take up and said it is just what has worked for her personally.

“This is not to say I eat this way all day, every day. And by the way, I eat far more than bone broth and vegetables. I eat full meals, and I also have a lot of days of eating whatever I want. You know, eating french fries or whatever. My baseline really has been to try to be healthy and eat foods that will really calm the system down.”

Paltrow also said she mostly adheres to a Paleo diet for dinner.
