This tour combines East Africa’s most luxurious safari accommodations with time in the tropical paradise of Seychelles. We can arrange internal charter flights upon request, as well as special experiences such as hot-air balloon rides or horseback safaris.

Begin in Nairobi, Kenya’s bustling capital, with a stay at one of the city’s most exclusive hotels. During flexible private touring, visit an elephant and rhino orphanage run by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Also visit the Karen Blixen House, where the writer of Out of Africa lived, and the Giraffe Centre to learn about and feed endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. Other touring options around Nairobi include participating in philanthropic activities and visiting local museums and crafts galleries.

Next, stay at a luxury lodge on a reserve bordering Chyulu Hills National Park, a beautiful volcanic mountain range with excellent views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Chyulu’s verdant knolls and golden sunrises are believed to have inspired Ernest Hemingway’s Green Hills of Africa. The region is in the path of elephant migrations and home to zebras, giraffes, buffaloes and other animals. Enjoy daily game drives, walking safaris, horseback riding, mountain biking and night drives. Artisans of Leisure can arrange other activities, including visits to local villages, excursions to nearby Amboseli National Park and scenic flights around Mount Kilimanjaro. An experience not to be missed is sleeping outside on a private rooftop “star bed” and waking up to the majestic sight of Mount Kilimanjaro at sunrise.

Continue to Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most legendary safari destination. Maasai Mara is famed for its stunning scenery and abundance of wildlife, as well as for being one of the places (besides the Serengeti in Tanzania) where one may witness the annual great wildebeest migration. Spend three nights at one of Kenya’s most luxurious and historic tented camps, located in one of the only parts of the Mara where black rhinos are still found. During exciting and informative game drives, look for rhinos and other members of the Big Five: lions, buffaloes, elephants and leopards. Cheetahs, zebras, Maasai giraffes, ostriches, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous antelope species are also seen frequently. If desired, activities such as walking safaris, river fishing, special meals in the bush, and more can be arranged. Return to Nairobi, where you will be assisted to your international flight.

Next, fly to Singita Grumeti Reserves, a private game concession next to Serengeti National Park, and stay at one of the top luxury lodges in East Africa. The region is known for its abundant wildlife—including elephants, leopards and lions—and prime opportunities for viewing the wildebeest migration. Game drives on the private concession offer unfettered wildlife viewing without the crowds of the neighboring park. If desired, also enjoy walking safaris, sundowners in the bush and night game drives. There will also be plenty of time for spa treatments, gourmet meals, wine tasting, cooking classes, tennis, swimming, archery, stargazing, hiking to an anti-poaching outpost and visits to local villages.

Conclude your tour in Seychelles, an archipelago of beautiful islands in the Indian Ocean. On arrival on the island of Mahe, you’ll be met and transferred by private vehicle to Four Seasons Resort Seychelles for a luxury resort experience. During ample leisure time, relax on white sand beaches, enjoy the resort’s spa and other facilities, and perhaps go swimming, snorkeling or kayaking in the clear blue water.
