Located on the northern shore of Lake Travis (which looks like the shadow of a dragon from the air), this scenic community was incorporated in the early 1980s, but was actually developed in the 1960s as a lake resort. The Lago Vista lifestyle is very relaxed and friendly. While nearly everyone drives or takes the bus for getting around the Austin region, many will be jogging, cycling or out walking what locals refer to as the 'fun-hills' in the area.
