My wife just started a new job and read this book first. It was a perfect guide to thinking about her new role, what she wanted to get out of it, and how she could prepare for the transition. She had a groundwork of interpersonal strategies, technical strategies, and organizational strategies that she began to apply before her first day. Solid examples and a pleasant voice kept this book at her side. She continue to refer to it as she encounters challenges.

I also read this book when I transitioned into a different leadership role in my organization. It helped me create a structure for the transition and has helped transform the way his company runs business development. It helps you think about organizational leadership in a new light. I find myself going back to the examples in the book and there is always something helpful.
