Color: Natural AluminumVine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
First and foremost, Bang & Olufsen is a luxury brand with an emphasis on design and quality. I typically don’t get these types of items, but happy to review this as an ‘average person.’

The box and factory packaging are average, which is fine since most people toss all that anyway.

The aluminum body is seamless and very artistic-looking. Definitely a visually interesting piece. What is really cool is the light for the touch controls-there’s a pointy cone with the light at the tip (see picture).

You’ll need to download the B&O app and use that to complete the set up. The app found the speaker as a nearby item and after connecting the wifi it automatically updated which took a few minutes. Connecting to Bluetooth was simple and will be my primary way of playing music. After connecting it will send out a tone to analyze the room for the room compensation. It just takes a few seconds to do that.

As for how it sounds, this thing can get LOUD! I’m amazed at how loud it can get. It would do fantastic in large rooms.

The 360 degree sound works really well. I placed it in my open living room and kitchen, and as I moved around I can hear the difference between this and another ‘normal’ speaker. There are two mid speakers back-to-back and if you position yourself close and directly on the side you can hear a slight difference since there is no mid pointing in your direction. I’m not an audio person, but using 4 small mids would have been a better for the 360. Regardless it works well.

The bass is good, initially I was wishing for more but then I get back to reality and realize that this is a single compact unit. It is very good bass for the size. It also matters what you set it on for the bass to reverberate. Try different positioning and redo the room compensation.

The equalizer in the B&O app only has bass and treble settings. I wish there was an advanced mode that gave you the full sound range. A neat feature are the sound modes and you can create a custom one using this cool user interface (see picture).

Overall it sounds great! If you’re willing to pay the “luxury tax” for an artistic look.
