I really wanted a one-piece type that could be cut to length, as I was concerned that a two-piece rod might not be sturdy enough. Couldn't find a one-piece model, so I bought this one. Plenty of elbow room

I needed more room and this gives it to me and then some. The ends swivel, which makes installing easy and gives you multiple options. I did not want to drill the tile and this allowed me to have one ens straight and the other at 90 degrees. See pictures. The chrome finish is beautiful and easy to clean. I now need to buy nicer rings. Insulation is easy but having a friend to help makes for a faster and easier process.

This is a nice looking towel rod, and it’s hard to find them in matte black, I think. But I wasn’t too happy when I opened the package, read the instructions, and saw the brackets. That was something I couldn’t appreciate from shopping for it, alas. I initially wanted a tension rod, but this was what was suggested, and was well rated. But it would require me to drill into the tiles themselves, not just the grout, to place the anchors and screws. I don’t think that’s worth doing, am going to purchase a tension rod instead like I had at a previous home, and hopefully get good fixation. Drilling into the grout is not the end of the world, but the way the brackets are small and the screws aren’t far apart, that is really going to be difficult in this shower.
But it’s a beautiful curved rod, and if you have drywall or a surround that allows drilling more easily, by all means go for it. I thought it was well made and sturdy looking.
