This deluxe ash bucket is constructed of 28 gauge galvanized sheet iron. The double-bottomed ash bucket holds three gallons of warm ash safely and securely to offer additional protection for floors.

Large Capacity

This large ash bucket has a 3-Gallon capacity and is perfect for large fireplaces or indoor wood stoves. The size of the bucket is 10" in diameter by 13" H.

What is an Ash Bucket and Why Do I need One?

An ash bucket is a bucket to be used beside your fireplace to dispose of fireplace ashes. Ash buckets are an invaluable purchase for your hearth and can complement your existing fireplace tools.

It is best to wait 24 hours after the last fire burned in the fireplace to remove ashes and allow the ashes to cool. However, there may still be hot ashes, and because you may be placing hot ashes into the ash bucket, select an ash bucket that is made from a hard metal and not from materials that may melt.

A tight-fitting lid also helps eliminate the possibility of ashes to fly out or cause a mess on the floor.

We're fine with it since it's set in a fairly dark recess beside our fireplace, but some people will be disappointed if looking for a true black.

I bought the black, but it’s really like a slate-grey color. Bought it for my outdoor patio to empty cigarette ashtrays into. If the lid is on tight it actually seems to be pretty waterproof which I’m thankful for. It’s rained really hard several times since I’ve had it and inside has stayed dry. That said I can tell it’s getting a tiny rust ring on the very bottom and on the inner part of the lid. But they didn’t advertise it for outdoor use and I’m not bothered by that. So, definitely happy with the purchase!! Handle makes it easy to carry to garbage and dump it out.
