I love these pruners, however, be aware that even though it states in multiple places in the description that these will cut1 1/2” diameter, they only cut1 1/4” diameter. This is my second pair as first one broke due to user error. I tried to cut branches that were bigger than an inch and a quarter diameter so if you’re looking for something to cut bigger branches, I would suggest a different pruner.

Just as described. We bought a pair to help take down a 10 foot x20 foot laurel and some blackberry bushes. This made quick work of of the lower branches and the offshoots which were about one inch thick. The cuts were smooth and didn’t require a ton of pressure. After about 2 hours we could finally reach the thicker parts with a saw. The blade is still super sharp. Handy tool to have in the shed.
