Must keep cap handy in a pocket for in between use. Suggestions: Vinyl cap too soft, almost flimsy and becomes easily lost. Sturdy ball point pen end cap is good substitute.

Size is great for one-handed uses while holding clippings in other hand.

I finally learned how to properly deadhead flowers this year, and this tool has been immensely helpful. The Fiskars brand swayed me because I have had only positive experiences with it in the past with other scissor products. I was impressed with the weight and feel of the shears out of the package. I love that there is a protective blade guard that can be kept on it when not in use to not only protect the snips from the elements, but also can protect hands from the sharp tips. The shears are nice and small, which makes them perfect for getting just where you want to snip, but strong enough to get through tough stems. Very happy with these.

Admittedly I was not paying attention when I ordered these and thought they were much larger and could be used for cutting branches and the like. They are not. However, I soon discovered many other uses for these such as cutting herbs both from the garden and chopping them up for recipes, dead heading flowers, trimming leaves, etc. They are very sharp and cut right to the fine tip. Love love love them!
