What you would expect from B&O
First and foremost, Bang & Olufsen is a luxury brand with an emphasis on design and quality. I typically don’t get these types of items, but happy to review this as an ‘average person.’The box and factory packaging are average, which is fine since most people toss all that anyway. The aluminum body is seamless and very artistic-looking. Definitely a visually interesting piece. What is really cool is the light for the touch controls-there’s a pointy cone with the light at the tip (see picture). You’ll need to download the B&O app and use that to complete the set up. The app found the speaker as a nearby item and after connecting the wifi it automatically updated which took a few minutes. Connecting to Bluetooth was simple and will be my primary way of playing music. After connecting it will send out a tone to analyze the room for the room compensation. It just takes a few seconds to do that.As for how it sounds, this thing can get LOUD! I’m amazed at how loud it can get. It would do fantastic in large rooms. The 360 degree sound works really well. I placed it in my open living room and kitchen, and as I moved around I can hear the difference between this and another ‘normal’ speaker. There are two mid speakers back-to-back and if you position yourself close and directly on the side you can hear a slight difference since there is no mid pointing in your direction. I’m not an audio person, but using 4 small mids would have been a better for the 360. Regardless it works well. The bass is good, initially I was wishing for more but then I get back to reality and realize that this is a single compact unit. It is very good bass for the size. It also matters what you set it on for the bass to reverberate. Try different positioning and redo the room compensation. The equalizer in the B&O app only has bass and treble settings. I wish there was an advanced mode that gave you the full sound range. A neat feature are the sound modes and you can create a custom one using this cool user interface (see picture).Overall it sounds great! If you’re willing to pay the “luxury tax” for an artistic look.

I have a fair amount of experience with many of the most well-known premium/luxury brand speakers on the market. There is no question that Bang and Olufsen is one of the most recognized luxury brands in the world for producing premium acoustics/speakers. So, I was hopeful that this Beosound 2, 3rd generation multiroom Wi-Fi speaker would live up to the standards and reputation that Bang and Olufsen has earned over the years. It absolutely did. From Torsten Valeur's design meant to evoke the spirit of a musical instrument to the high-grade, solid aluminum conical shape that enhances the acoustic quality, this speaker is exquisite. It was very easy to setup by downloading the Bang and Olufsen app from the Apple or Google app store. The app will find the speaker and update the latest version of Bang and Olufsen's proprietary Mozart software platform. The app also offers a number of other features and functions for configuring and controlling the speaker. Once found, you can connect your speaker to your home Wi-Fi, connect a wired network cable to the ethernet port, connect a wired music player via the included auxiliary cable to USB C port adapter, or connect via Bluetooth 5.2. The Beosound 2 also has Chromecast built-in, Bluetooth Audio Streaming, Apple Airplay, DLNA-dir., Spotify Connect and Play 2.0 integrated for a wide selection and support of your favorite streaming services. The acoustic quality was astonishing. This speaker offers clean and precise mids, high-frequency clarity, crisp treble, and deep and rich bass quality. Every part of the acoustic range was excellent, and with the advanced 360-degree technology built-in, the sound quality could be enjoyed from anywhere in the room. Apart from being an excellent individual speaker, the Beosound2 also can be linked with other Bang and Olufsen speakers to deliver a whole home sound experience. You can choose between the natural aluminum or gold finish to suit your decor. I highly recommend this Beosound 2 speaker to anyone considering a whole home wireless sound system that offers both exceptional acoustics and eye catching aesthetics.

This thing is wild. Make sure you download the app for you phone so you can configure it. The owner's manual is pretty budh a QR Code fhe app. It sets up via WiFi which means you have to make sure youo connect it to the same WiFi as you are using on your phone. Once you get that working it's pretty easy.

Coolest thing about this device is that it h as an auto room configuration setting. It emits a weird sound from low to high frequency and configuration is done. I suppose it you move it around you need to re-run the configuration.

Sound is excellent and you can crank it up super loud without speaker break up.

Watch the video for a demo of the other featurs. Bluetooth start/stop/skip fwd/skip backword. Top knob is the volume control.

My favorite feature is the four presets. You can configure each one to stream you favorite radio stations.

This thing is fun (and expensive). If you have the bucks I recommend this. It will definitely impress your friends😊

I can't even begin to describe how much I enjoy the sound quality on this speaker. It's absolutely incredible. there are notes and music and sounds you can't hear on a regular speaker. The sound quality is so clear! I think it's absolutely worth the price for the quality you get. Also, this speaker maps your room for acoustics when you set it up. Another thing I love is how easy the app was to download, operate and pair to my phone and tablet. Keep in mind this speaker is large and heavy so it's going to stay where you put it. I just can't say enough good things about this speaker.

Bajos profundos, agudos precisos y medios clarísimos.
