Mean Girls Star Jonathan Bennett Finally Explains How His Hair Looks So Sexy Pushed Back

It's somehow been 15 years since Mean Girls made hair compliment history with the phrase, "Your hair looks sexy pushed back." That makes almost two decades that actor Jonathan Bennett, aka the movie's hunk Aaron Samuels, has been confronted with that line pretty much anywhere he goes. As the iconic haver of said pushed-back hair, it makes sense that Bennett partnered with hair brand Chi to celebrate the film's anniversary.

In the video, Bennett pokes fun at his cult character status with a tongue-in-cheek promotional video. "Oh, hello, it's me, pop culture icon, mega superstar Jonathan Bennett," the video begins. We see Bennett moving through his day with constant interjections from Mean Girls fans until finally, he decides to give them a hair tip. The reason his hair looks so great? Apparently, it's Chi. More specifically, one of the dozens of cans of Chi Enviro 54 Hairspray Firm Hold hair spray that we deeply hope lines his bathroom IRL.

We're glad that Bennett is using his iconic role (and hair) as a way to earn some extra coin. Even better, he's giving it back the fans with an Instagram giveaway, the details of which are on his profile.

With every line from Mean Girls still etched in my brain, it's shocking to discover that the movie came out a full 15 years ago — but at least Aaron Samuels still looks amazing. As for the rest of us former Plastics, I'll just leave this here.
