Hence, the excitement around this idea for fuller brows. M.A.C. makeup artist Nicole Thompson shared the brilliance with Popsugar Australia. To create thicker brows with just the right amount of texture, Thompson uses a lash primer, like the M.A.C. False Lashes Maximizer ($19), which is traditionally used before applying mascara to make lashes appear thicker. "We love it in the brows because it does the same thing for the brow hairs," Thompson said. "Gives a bit of texture, so it gives you this kind of bushy, thickened brow."
According to Thompson, using a primer actually delivers better hold and texture than a lot of brow gels. "It will hold without looking crunchy, which I love; it still looks soft," she said. In other words, you won't have to worry about emerging from a workout class with wild Einstein-esque brows.
She also shared a technique trick: "Whether you're using the clear Brow Set or using this, the trick to getting [brows] to stay [brushed up] is brushing the hairs down with it first and then up, so [the hairs] have something to stick to," she told Popsugar.
