TL;DR:

TL;DR:

A texturizing hair spray that creates subtle volume, enhances hair's texture, and defines your layers

I've already tried — and loved — a lot of hair products from Ouai, so I was excited to test Ouai Texturizing Spray for our beauty sampling subscription service, the Allure Beauty Box. (Ouai Leave In Conditioner is a favorite of mine.) Ouai's products all smell amazing, like sexy floral perfumes. Plus, the Texturizing Spray had been hand-picked for the box by Huda Kattan, beauty blogger extraordinaire and founder of Huda Beauty, who partnered with us to choose the products for our July 2019 Beauty Box.

Like all Ouai products, the Texturizing Spray was dreamed up by hairstylist Jen Atkin. She's a master of celebrity hair — she works with A-listers like Jessica Alba, Khloé Kardashian, and Sofia Vergara — so it's no surprise that her texturizing spray would blow others out of the water. Instead of trying to create beachy waves like so many texturizers that just end up leaving my hair stringy or crunchy or both, this one gives subtle texture. A few mists from my roots to my ends (use it on dry hair) created really pretty soft volume all over.

It emphasized and defined my hair’s natural wave, so it looked like I'd actually spent time styling it — an excellent fake out, considering I'd air-dried that morning. The warm smell was heaven, and the next day, my hair didn’t feel stiff or product-y at all, so I didn't have to shampoo two days in a row. I just added a little more texturizer (it layered nicely over the previous day's application without making my hair feel product-y), and I was good to go.

Now, I use Ouai's Texturizing Spray whenever my fine hair is looking limp or blah and it just gives it a sultry somethin’ somethin’. I also like flipping my hair over and spraying my roots for more volume.
