Harvard psychiatrist Dr Uma Naidoo is recalling the case of a flustered patient who came to her Boston clinic overwhelmed with anxiety and pleading for medication to calm her nerves.
Instead of reaching for her prescription pad, Naidoo suggested they discuss the patient’s recent circumstances instead.
