RUSSIA VIDEO JOURNALIST AND EDITOR, MOSCOW

THE JOB

Agence France-Presse (AFP) news agency is looking for a video journalist and editor to work in its Moscow Bureau. The role involves reporting and editing news and feature stories from Russia, the Caucasus and Central Asia, working in conjunction with AFP’s hub in Warsaw and the regional video desk in London. The correspondent will be in constant contact with various AFP video contributors in Russia and the CIS, assigning and organising coverage and editing their production.

For visa reasons, candidates must be Russian nationals. Candidates must have some experience or training as a journalist and speak intermediate/fluent English. French would be a plus. AFP can provide training in all technical aspects of the role but some video shooting/ editing skills would also be a plus. The role could include assignments in other parts of the Russia/CIS region or elsewhere depending on AFP’s coverage needs. It may require long working days, dictated by the news agenda, and will include working some weekends and public holidays.
