Support for Communities
Our mission is to help bring empty homes back into use as affordable housing. We do this in several ways:
campaigning for better Government policy on the issues of empty and underutilised homes
conducting deep research on issues such as wealth investment and short-lets, and analysing Government data on empty homes to ensure information is shared with the public
facilitating projects such as the Retrofit Empty Homes Action Partnerships, working with 4 local authority areas to retrofit empty homes whilst brining them back into use.

Action on Empty Homes campaigns to bring empty homes back into use as affordable housing - we conduct research, share knowledge, and lobby government. We do not hold lists of available empty homes, nor do we own or manage any housing ourselves. If you are homeless or at risk of homelessness, see the resources below:
Contact your Local Authority
Contact the Housing Options team at your Local Authority. They have a duty to help people experiencing homelessness.
Contact Shelter
Shelter will be able to inform you of your rights and provide you with an overview of options and resources available to you in your specific situation.
Access Legal Aid
Check whether you can receive legal aid for housing related problems.
