Research Entities
Below are the full lists of research entities within A*STAR, from Biomedical Council (BMRC) and Science and Engineering (SERC).
BMRC RESEARCH ENTITIES
The Biomedical Research Council’s (BMRC) primary role is to generate economic impact by sustaining the development and growth of the biomedical sciences industry in Singapore. BMRC also places great emphasis on translating new knowledge and technologies created in the labs into new clinical applications for diagnosis and treatment that will translate to healthcare outcomes for patients.
BMRC functions both as a public research funding agency, as well as a research performer. It leverages public sector R&D to create differentiated propositions and a trained workforce to support the growth of corporate R&D and innovation activities in Singapore. It has capabilities that extend across the pharmaceutical, biologics, medical technology, nutrition and personal care industries.
