Greenville police have identified man who pulled knife on Walmart employee

GREENVILLE, Pitt County — UPDATE:

Greenville Police Department officials state the suspect has been identified.

Greenville police are seeking the identity of an individual who pulled a knife on a Walmart employee.

Police were dispatched to the Walmart located at 4600 E 10th Street in Greenville on Thursday, Feb. 15 around 10:00 p.m.

Police say the unidentified man was seen trying to conceal items under his coat. The man pulled out a knife after an employee asked to see his receipt. According to authorities the suspect told the employee to back away and was not injured.
