After showers wind down later Wednesday, dry weather returns to close out the week into next weekend. After low/mid-70's Wednesday temperatures will rebound into the 80's late week and perhaps touching 90F in spots Sunday and Monday.

WEDNESDAY: (JUL 24): The previous system will move off the mat, but will leave some overhead cloud cover for the morning with the clouds breaking up in the afternoon hours. Some spotty showers are possible, but nothing otherwise, and it is expected to be a fairly cool day for summer standards and the NW wind from the back end of the system cools us off. Temps in the low-70's.

THURSDAY (JUL 25): High pressure nudges in starting the first of at least four straight dry days. Sunshine for all of Northern Michigan with highs reaching the mid/upper-70's.

FRIDAY (JUL 26): High pressure still in the forecast as ridging improves over the region on Friday. Mostly sunny skies with some fair cumulus moving through. Temps range from 80-86F.

EXTENDED FORECAST: Temps continue to rise as ridging continues to move in and sun sticks around for the weekend.
