Well done Benenden

Relaxed environment in a modern and well maintained environment. All staff were pleasant and helpful and made you feel important to them.
The service and standard of care is outstanding with up to date procedures and clinical care.
My family and I have been members for over 50 years and never been let down. I would recommend it to anyone. Its just a shame it’s not the easiest of places to get to and the adjacent hotel has been withdrawn.

Referred to a private hospital for surgery

I was referred to a private hospital for hernia surgery and given a list of 3 consultants to choose from. I researched each consultant and found them all to be experienced senior consultants. My consultant explained the procedure clearly to me and carried out a very neat job. I had much less bruising than expected and the small incisions from key hole surgery healed very quickly. I'm really happy with the service and treatment provided by Benenden.

Fast, efficient and professional service

I have just completed a 6 week physiotherapist course organised by Benenden. The whole experience was handled very professionally, this was from my first contact with Benenden. I was allocated a case worker who discussed my health condition and the reason for physiotherapy. The case worker found the closest therapist to my home address. The very same day I was put in contact with my therapist who then organised my first of six sessions. The sessions were informative and full of practical tips and advice to keep my hands flexible and pain free.

They talked me through at the beginning how the process would happen and gave me the opportunity to choose a physiotherapy near me and the quality of care was excellent.

Excellent and professional service from Benenden

Excellent and professional service from start to finish. I had 2 cataract operations within 2 months of contacting Benenden, and my sight has greatly improved. Had I not been a member of Benenden I would still be waiting for an NHS appointment just to see a consultant and then probably a couple of years for surgery. Well worth the monthly fee.

Generally good experience

Very good response to my issues and appropriate consultation arranged quickly albeit a delay to obtain an appointment. My only concern was a financial restriction to total treatment costs of only £2500. Although not used this appeared low given Benenden subscription charges and the length of time I had paid them.

My recent experience as an outpatient…

My recent experience as an outpatient at Benenden hospital was outstanding. The staff were exceptionally attentive and professional from the moment I arrived. The check-in process was efficient, and I was seen promptly at my scheduled time. The medical team was thorough in their evaluation, explaining everything clearly and addressing all my concerns with patience. The hospital was clean and well-organized , ensuring a comfortable and stress-free visit. Overall, the quality of care and level of service exceeded my expectations, making my outpatient visit a positive and reassuring experience.

Physio - Vits Health

Benenden were great in authorising my physio. The company they employ to look after this Vita Health physio care not so, be aware when dealing with them, especially initial triage, and any further contact.

This is about the Benenden App

This is not about Benenden Health itself but about the app they suggest you use to speed up and simplify the process. I tried to register with the app but could not login with my email address and the password I had set up - my password followed explicitly the rules required. I then tried to re- register but was informed my email address was already being used( suggesting password the problem). Went back to change password - rcvd email with the code- all ok but still wld not accept the second password. I could go around and around in circles like this for days?
No other options open to me - how to deal with this? Their phone line only offers options related to existing or new membership, currently open cases etc nothing abt the app to which they make glowing references. Oh how I wish? Anyone else had this problem ?

Carer advice

I cannot praise the service I received highly enough, it helped me deal with a difficult situation regarding care.
The ex nurse I spoke to understood the issues I was facing and helped to resolve the situation and provided me with lots of useful information.

Great service caring people

Consultant actually found out what was
wrong with me/my diagnosis due to a new hip replacement and not knee replacement which I was given by my GP
false/wrong information

Private healthcare at a reasonable cost…

Benenden is an excellent insurer and…

Benenden is an excellent insurer and have recommended them to many of my friends and family. Have used them for GP services, a minor operation and physio. The process has always been very easy and the everyone has been most helpful.

Excellent service

Excellent service. I asked for an appointment to see a physiotherapist and it was arranged within a few days. By the end of the week, I saw a local physiotherapist and had my first treatment session. I am still waiting for my NHS appointment!
