🌈 We had the incredible pleasure to attend an inspiring and insightful speaker session with Laïla El-Métoui in honour of Pride Month. Yesterday, Laila shared invaluable insights on fostering a culture of belonging, best practices for communicating with LGBTQIA+ audiences, challenges and opportunities in Pride advocacy, and ways to amplify LGBTQIA+ voices. Thank you, Laila, and to everyone who attended and contributed to making the session a success!

Felix Cottrell, Medical Writer III, shares a refreshing take on the role of AI in our industry. The blog post delves into how AI, rather than being a threat, can serve as a powerful ally in the writing process. It outlines a practical approach to integrating AI into the writing workflow, from overcoming the initial blank page hurdle to refining content with a human touch. Felix argues that AI's computational abilities, when combined with human empathy and emotional intelligence, can lead to more compelling and resonant content.

Last week WE attended London Tech Week, where members of our team were immersed in the vibrant showcase of technological innovation. Sam Coldicutt shared some insightful takeaways from the event’s talks and sessions: 📈 Small tech startups stand to reap significant long-term benefits by investing early in communications and policy support. 🏃🏻 The ‘movement economy’ is positioned for continued growth, with wearable and fitness tech showing no signs of slowing down. 💼 As tech businesses expand, it’s crucial to adapt employee communications to scale. This audience is often overlooked in startup growth strategies. 🏥 In the healthcare sector, technology is shifting the focus from medicine that fixes to preventative health, aiming to eliminate illness at its source. Thank you to the organisers of the event, we can’t wait to see what 2025 brings! #LTW2024 #UKTech

WE believes in the power of communication to move people to positive action and our work with the Schoen Clinic UK Group is helping to raise awareness of life changing issues, such as addiction.    The UK is seeing the highest number of deaths on record from alcohol-related diseases and deaths among those in treatment for drug addiction have increased.    Dr Daniel Masud, addiction specialist at Schoen Clinic Chelsea, said: “The rise in treatment numbers highlights the growing need for integrated mental health support in the UK [...]The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated mental health problems due to increased stress, isolation, and economic uncertainty.”   To read more on this interesting topic, view the full article here: https://lnkd.in/dB8SCYFS

This week, our colleagues Karolina Fratczak and Jamila Choudhury had the opportunity to attend the Decoding the Future of Women. There was much information to digest with discussions about advancements in wearable technology, artificial womb transplantations, and the future of women’s health in the next decade! Here are our key insights: 🛒 Gen Z and Gen Alpha consumers are becoming more informed and demanding. Within women's health, where the consumer is often the payer, they expect products to be top-notch, driving innovation in this sector. 🔑 The ovaries are the architects of women’s health, and their function far extends beyond fertility – impacting everything from the brain, heart, immune system to the liver and pancreas. While we know it is the fastest ageing organ, we don't yet understand why, and unlocking this will be key to longevity. 🧬 The potential of AI in the FemTech sector is promising, but the continuous lack of women's health data will delay its progress, as we need to reach a high threshold in data collection to avoid developing gender-biased AI models. 🍒 The cherry on the top was seeing the visionary founders pitching business ideas that gave a glimpse into the potential future for women's health! Thank you to the whole team at FemTech Lab for putting together such an inspiring event – until next year! #d3cod1ng2024 #FemTech #WomensHealth

Best end-of-the-week news! 🎉   Earlier this week, the Hudson Swim campaign won the Silver Drum Award in the 'Charity or Not for Profit' category at The Drum Marketing Americas Awards.   The swim, which lasted 32 days, saw endurance swimmer and UN Environment Programme Patron of the Oceans Lewis Pugh embark on a 315-mile swim down the Hudson River. Not just a physical challenge, but a powerful call to action on the urgent need to protect the world's rivers. 🏊🌎   This campaign was a joint collaboration between the Lewis Pugh Foundation and some of our team members - Ryan Sketchley, Becca Brewer and Josh Graham. Congratulations to all involved! 🥈 https://lnkd.in/eN-5JQFJ   #TheDrumAwards
