The 150+ experts assembled at The Pharm (across Mediacom, Ogilvy and VML) have a unique opportunity to dedicate ourselves to one client in pursuit of their ambitious mission, while collaborating with experts from across several agencies (and areas of expertise) within our holding company, WPP.
As a Public Relations Account Executive in the Brand team, you will play a vital role in executing strategic PR initiatives for our client. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with media outlets, influencers, and key industry stakeholders to generate positive media coverage and drive brand awareness. Your expertise in the brand, beauty and retail industry will enable you to craft compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences, ultimately driving business growth for our client - Boots.
A core part of the role (for the first six months) will be helping the PR team to execute the largest and most important campaign of the year; Christmas.
The Christmas campaign is a very exciting and multi-layered activity and involves event execution, media and influencer relations and faultless reporting. The activity is extremely fast-pace so organisational skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with the implementation of the BUK PR Strategy
Media pitching (specifically across shopping, beauty and value media)
Supporting the team in generating maximum coverage and meeting KPIs
Supporting the team by drafting media materials, including press releases, alerts and email pitches
Developing media and influencer relations: meeting regularly with press and influencers to maintain relationships and create new ones, supporting editorial and organic social coverage generation
Assisting with project management, hosting experiential events
Responsible for campaign and press office reporting, including coverage reports and reviews
Assisting with press and influencer collateral and creative mailings
Work closely, collaboratively, and creatively with the BUK team and Pharm Team internally on campaigns
What we are looking for:
PR Account Executive with at least 1 years’ experience who is a team player and has a passion for the retail industry. Experience working on a Christmas campaign is a bonus.
Has a proactive approach and is able to use their initiative to make things happen
Organised and experienced in managing a busy press office and meeting project deadlines.
Experience working in a team hosting events, organising mailers, managing stock and budgets.
Impeccable written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail
Strong press contacts and great relationships with both established and micro and lifestyle influencers
A genuine passion for the beauty, wellness and retail industries with knowledge of brands, trends et
