🎓🎓Last week, in partnership with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, our People Team welcomed a group of 15 teachers from the local area to our Castleford site for a ‘tour & talk’ as part of the “Teacher Encounters” training programme that we are taking part in. Our #TeamHARIBO gave teachers first hand experience of the workplace, an understanding of the current job market, and support to embed careers education into school lessons! As a leading employer in Yorkshire, we believe we can help teachers to better inform and prepare students for life after education by giving them all the tools they will need to be successful as they make the transition into the world of work! HARIBO UK was born in Yorkshire 100 years later, and we have been making our traditional Pontefract Cakes with the castle and owl stamp ever since. On Sunday, #TeamHARIBO made a splash for a great cause! 🛶🛶 Our long-standing partner Martin House Children's Hospice put on one of the events of the summer with this year’s Dragon Boat Race in Leeds! 💙 Thank you #MartinHouse for having us and well done to our colleagues who had fun taking part in the Tug of War and the boat race! With that in mind, we are delighted to announce that we are the head sponsor of this year’s Pontefract Liquorice Festival! The event celebrating Yorkshire’s Liquorice heritage will take place on Sunday 14th July, and we are proud to be able to be a part of this historic and exciting festival which has such deep roots in both, the area and the history of our products.
