LEAD CREATIVE PRODUCER

PAY RANGE: £35,000/yr - £37,000/yr

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 4+ years experience required


The Lead Creative Producer will lead and execute various productions and events, ensuring smooth operations and comprehensive client service. As an experienced and proactive Producer, you approach tasks with a can-do attitude, strive for operational excellence, and maintain a keen eye for detail. You are organised, solution-focused, and aware of the wider business context in everything that you do.

We’re looking for someone with strong project management and communication skills, along with industry contacts and experience in the production industry. You play a pivotal role, leading multiple productions, securing new commercial opportunities, and are responsible for on-going client account management.


WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH:

Internal

  • LCP will lead on day to day management of the production schedule working with another Creative Producer.


You’ll work collaboratively on brand events and projects with our influencer division, Underwater Creative for client events and influencer trips, where required for production support.


External

  • Various client teams, senior level clients, directors and owners. LCP will lead meetings with support from team producers and junior staff. Suppliers who need experience and knowledge and are integral to production success, set build, DOP, lighting, stylists etc.


Line Manager

  • LCP will report into the Company Directors for feedback on day to day success, developments and challenges along the way.

WHAT’S EXPECTED:

This role will be super varied and dependent on client / project needs. You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Lead client contact and management on day to day level, including with senior clients. Demonstrating a solution orientated approach.
  • Overall responsibility for the output of their projects (on brief, on time, on budget)
  • Fully developing the creative production from initial idea through to reality.
  • Important qualities: highly organised, detail-oriented, admin-focused
  • Knowledgeable in all elements of production admin - scoping & budgeting; contracting suppliers; health & safety paperwork; finance & billing; regulations; post-production admin & delivery; etc
  • Managing production projects end-to-end - both building team & crew from the ground up, and partnering with third party production suppliers where required
  • Experience with different forms of production and post-production: ATL, TVC, Content shoots with influencers & talent; product shoots; creative & scripted shoots; CGI & motion.
  • Experience with social content production, good knowledge of social platforms, formats and delivery specs
  • Confidence working with tight timelines and smaller budgets, along with managing multiple production work streams at once
  • Location sourcing, permitting and liaising.


Client Management

  • Communicate complex production projects and issues to our clients
  • Managing signed off budgets and addressing overages and budget solutions to clients
  • Demonstrating a solution orientated approach


Job Profitability / Cost Management

  • Review creative concept and visual concept to assess project feasibility
  • Develop initial production ‘ballpark’ estimates based on concept / initial requirements
  • Develop detailed production cost estimate for client review
  • Reconcile all budgets post shoot, within 7-10 days of shoot ending
  • Develop and own production timing plan from client brief through to final delivery of files
  • Develop and distribute all shoot docs, shoot list, call sheet (shoot schedule), risk assessments


Managing 3rd Party Suppliers

  • Ability to build good working relationships with third-party suppliers
  • Existing connections within the industry including freelance or agency Photographers, Editors, Directors, VO, Motion Graphics, Casting Producers and Art Directors
  • Networking and developing a black book of industry contacts
  • Negotiate all usage fees and third party costs to get the best value for money possible


Developing Processes

  • Ability to implement, manage and improve the internal production process. Striving for the most efficient ways to work.
  • Conduct higher-level assessments of projects to determine if additional production support or outsourcing is necessary for successful completion.


Casting

  • Research and cast talent including actors, models, creators and influencers.
  • Build and manage relationships with agents and managers.


Project Management

  • Manage key production milestones on all projects that involve a shoot and events (either internal or third party produced)
  • Ability to either line produce or agency side produce a project as needed
  • Ensure sign off & delivery of shoot brief (includes casting and location brief)
  • Support development of the PPM Deck (working with other disciplines as necessary)
  • Record what works and what doesn’t for any shoot related “Wrap” meetings


Collaboration

  • Work closely with Creatives to ensure that their creative vision is achieved
  • Establishing yourself as a production expert, in pre-shoot planning and beyond
  • Contribute to the creative process with creative production solutions


Skills And Previous Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Producer at a Production Company or Agency with retail clients.
  • Strong understanding of video and photoshoot best practices, including APA Guidelines.
  • Experience with TVC production and hands-on shoot management, including line production and working with third-party production companies.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Proven ability to produce digital marketing content for major platforms, social media campaigns, and brand activations or events.
  • Experience in casting, production planning for campaigns, and managing production assistants or production management.
  • Experience working with consumer brands, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • We require you to have a driving license & car for this role.
  • The position is based in Wilmslow Cheshire, Manchester however the candidate will be required to travel to worldwide locations as well as to other project locations on a case by case basis.
