Head of Business Development

ROYC Group London, England, United Kingdom

About ROYC

ROYC (www.roycgroup.com) is a leading European B2B wealth-tech company offering a proprietary digital platform which addresses the fundamental challenges of investing in private markets. Our mission is to empower Family Offices, Wealth Managers, Financial Advisors, Banks, Institutions and Asset Managers with a platform that expands and simplifies private market funds investing for their end-clients.

ROYC has two core areas of unique expertise: Investment Services (led by former Blackstone, Partners Group, Hamilton Lane executives) & Technology Solutions (led by former Klarna, Snowflake engineers). Our institutional grade investment team constantly screens, due diligence, structures and curates over 2,000 private market funds across strategies and regions. Funds are then effectively distributed over our awarding winning tech platform, removing complexity and reducing cost-to-serve.

Want to join a fast paced innovative environment, creating a category winner, and work with some of the most talented individuals in our field?

Our diverse, international team is the cornerstone of our success, fostering creativity and excellence to achieve global impact. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Business Development to lead our growth initiatives and drive our business forward.

Role

As the Head of Business Development, you are responsible for creating a scalable framework for identifying and executing strategic growth opportunities, and build a fit-for-purpose biz dev organization over time. Your role involves market analysis, partnerships, developing the delivery model and constantly improving product-market fit in our value proposition, in addition to driving the company's expansion efforts.

Our platform was launched in 2023, and is currently scaling rapidly, driving the need for an experienced Head of Business Development to further shape and drive the go-to-market strategy and implementation. At this stage the role is a “player-coach” role, i.e. able to be both hands-on executional as well as strategic.

We are looking for someone with experience in scaling a fintech/wealth tech company or a division of a larger software platform in Europe/Globally, who also exemplifies our values around client centricity and has a demonstrated track record of delivering exceptional client outcomes.

The candidate will demonstrate strong selling skills coupled with a deep understanding of tech and how it can unlock value for our core client segments.

About You

You have an entrepreneurial mindset; you like to work closely with the senior executive team and are a player-coach. You fight institutional bureaucracy since it slows an organization down. You deeply understand that everything we do is to the benefit of our end-clients, and you are obsessed with providing our clients with a world-class service. You want to create a category defining company together with us.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the fintech or financial services industry, with a focus on software sales.
  • Proven track record of success in driving business growth and achieving revenue targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of private wealth management, investment products (ideally with some understanding of private equity industry), and enterprise software solutions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop talent.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
