As a result, we will stepping away from the traditional trade press model and producing more specialist reports, videos, research and analysis, getting the story behind the story, to give true insight and expert views on the hottest topics and trends in our industry.
To do this, Mash are looking for 3 specialist correspondents to join the content team. For this particular revolution, don’t just watch this space, be part of it and grow it further.

Summary:
A good correspondent will be generating interesting, insightful, and intelligent content across all channels on a daily and weekly basis – first to the post on breaking news, in-depth analysis behind the news headlines, and interesting angles to intrigue the reader. We want you immersed in your specialist areas and hope that this produces ideas RE whitepapers, content for our existing conferences, as well as ideas for future conferences/summits/reports.
All correspondents work across the Mash brands but have areas if specialism (see the list below).
Responsibilities:
Writing of script for fortnightly roundup videos – moving to weekly and to include interviews with key industry leaders
Finding and editing of segment-specific news for the roundups, newsletters, and websites
Reposting with comments on relevant social media channels
Maintenance of relationships with key industry associations & contributors within your segment
Regular reading of industry whitepapers, research, and statistics within your market segment
Writing of script and storyboarding for longer-form docuseries and educational videos
Liaising with video team, PD, and client on any long-form docuseries script writing
Writing interview questions for industry figures and breaking news interviews
Building, scheduling, and sending of the weekly email newsletter for your segment
Liaising with the Managing Editor, Digital Editor, PD, industry stakeholders and Head of Content to write content for your segments’ annual guides/research paper
Coordinating dates and site visits with organisers & production team for weekly show visits
Presentation of videos for weekly show visits
Interviewing of key stakeholders for breaking news features
Generation of new content, podcast features, docuseries ideas
Management of podcast format and features
Using SEO to drive traffic to our content pieces and website
Liaising with design & marketing teams to agree on relevant branding, calls to action and theming for each major content piece/series
Moderate sessions at relevant conferences/summits
Join and participate in relevant LI groups
