I'm Joining In Professional Development (InPD), the Institute of Professional Development for The Neurodiversity at Work Conference 2024. Why? You find venues, and facilitate clinical wetlab services? Well, in the UK, approximately 1 in 7 people are neurodivergent. However, despite a growing global recognition, many workplaces still struggle to support neurodiverse professionals. With this in mind, I want to gain expert insights into creating a culture that supports neurodiverse employees and clients. This event to me, is not only going to give me further exploration in how managers and team leaders can adapt their leadership styles to effectively support and empower neurodiverse team members, as well as discussing strategies for implementing inclusive recruitment and hiring practices to attract and retain neurodiverse talent. This enables me and my team to support our clients with their meetings, training, events and conferences. We are in a better position to advise and guide our clients with insightful neurodiverse perspectives to maximize the attendees experiences and implement best practices in how we manage, support and communicate with our neurodivergent clients. We strive to ensure we deliver exceptional customer experiences, by continuous professional development. Offering our clients inclusivity and support. 📰 ADHD patients win the right to choose where they are seen, following landmark NHS decision published in The Times on Friday 👉 https://lnkd.in/eBW_SYJc Leading Consultant Psychiatrist and UK Group Medical Director, Dr James Woolley gave expert insight addressing the rising demand for ADHD assessments and the need for comprehensive aftercare following diagnosis. “It’s not just about getting qualified providers to do an assessment, it’s then the follow up and safe aftercare for issues such as medication side effects", he said. Schoen Clinic Chelsea in London offers ADHD assessments for children and adults only with Consultant Psychiatrists, to diagnose or rule out the condition. The British Psychological Society Division of Occupational Psychology Conference was held this month and my first fun takeaway is actually a quote for the change practitioners or psychologists of the world (or anyone who evaluates projects/programmes for that matter).
