Contingent recruitment panels/PSAs don’t work, in my opinion. The thought that you’ll get a better spread of candidates & recruiters will work harder for you in competition is an utter falsehood. I’ve decided not to take on any contingent work or be a part of any panel agreements unless I’m used exclusively for specific roles. When clients engage me exclusively, they place their 100% faith in me to deliver. I feel that pressure every day. I lose sleep over it & it profoundly motivates me to ensure I deliver them the best possible talent there is available. When you’re working contingently, it’s a sprint race; you cut corners, don’t qualify people properly, and you’re just trying to get to people before others call them & sling their CVs to the client. It leads to a terrible candidate/client experience; you don’t have time for due diligence or in-depth sourcing, meaning you won't access the best available talent. #softwarerecruitment #contingent #exclusive #panels #psa

Thank you Inclusive Employers for hosting TPP Recruitment's client webinar yesterday. It was great to see so many clients attend and interact. I wanted to share some of the amazing tips for those that were not able to attend. ⭐ Physical Environment: Providing quiet spaces or noise-cancelling headphones these can help minimise distractions for individuals. Consider flexible seating arrangements, temperature and lighting to help minimise sensory triggers. ⭐ Emotional Support: Open communication and understanding are key. Creating a culture of psychological safety with open discussions on adjustments, consider a buddy systems and offering mental health support. ⭐ Working Practices: Flexible working and scheduled breaks. Adjusting deadlines or allowing for flexible work hours to assist individuals manage their workload more effectively. Providing clear, concise instructions and breaking tasks into smaller, manageable steps. Bullet points/diagrams and regular check ins. ⭐ Having the Conversation: It's important to create a safe space where team members feel comfortable discussing their needs. Encouraging open dialogue and actively listening without judgment. Remember, it's okay to ask questions with the intention to fully listen and understand.
