We're pleased to announce the opening of our first standalone UK store on London's Carnaby Street, providing a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The store has been designed to immerse its visitors in nature, incorporating circular practices and materials wherever possible to help minimize its environmental footprint. The standout feature of the store is a large blue sphere installation, created to symbolize Mother Earth, which is visible from the street, serving as a reminder of our interconnectedness with our surroundings. Visitors stepping into the store will be greeted by a lush interior featuring a live planter brimming with a variety of plant life, including evergreens, perennials and herbs, all carefully selected to thrive in the store’s micro climate. As visitors explore the space, they’ll reconnect with nature and find a sense of calm as we look to give back more than we take from our environment. We hope you'll immerse yourself in nature and pay us a visit at 57 Carnaby Street very soon!

At PANGAIA, we are committed to fostering innovation and sustainability in the industry. For the third consecutive year, we have teamed up with Fashion District - London to support their Manufacturing Futures Innovation Challenge. This annual challenge is dedicated to finding groundbreaking solutions to our industry's complex issues. This year, the competition received applications from innovators addressing: 🌿 The Materials we use  💻 The Systems we rely on ⛓ The Supply chain that supports us  👁 The Visibility we have of our products and materials  🔁 The Lifecycle of our products A few weeks ago, 10 finalists had just 20 minutes each to pitch their innovations to the judges, followed by canapés, drinks, speeches, and networking at an awards ceremony. Congratulations to Fibe, this year’s winner who presented their remarkable solution for transforming agricultural waste from the fifth most grown crop in the world into an alternative to cotton and bast fibers. Join us in supporting and celebrating these future-forward innovators. Image: Christian Sinibaldi

Founder and Co-CEO at Ocean Bottle | BCorp | Forbes 30 Under 30

Two days ago we hosted our third Ocean Connects event at the amazing x+why, and I’m still reflecting on what a great and thought provoking evening it was thanks to everyone in the room. I want to thank our brilliant speakers, PANGAIA's Director of Responsible Innovation Maria Sbiti (She/Her), Olio • Share More, Waste Less's Head of Business Development Liam Jones, and Ocean Bottle's very own CMO Ada Babiuch for joining me onstage to dive into the murky world of transparency, a topic which is becoming increasingly difficult for businesses to ignore. Something all of our companies share in common is our ambition to harness business as a force for good and a belief that the most successful brands of tomorrow will be those who are going above and beyond for people and planet. It was fantastic to learn from each other, and explore the nitty gritty in a room of open minded people, where we could acknowledge that while we’re not perfect, we can build trust and bring more people with us on the road to true sustainability by being open. Super proud of the team for organising such a solid event and thanks go to x+why for having us. I’m already excited for the next one 🌊

If the industry doesn't change it's ways, it's going to be increasingly difficult for it to continue to operate at all. Our Chief Global Engagement Officer, Eva Kruse, recently took part in a panel discussion with Julie Gilhart, Peder Michael Anker Jørgensen and Vanessa Friedman at the 2024 Global Fashion Summit on the topic of 15 Years Of Activating Impact. As the founder and former CEO of Global Fashion Summit, Eva rightly outlined that everyone is “still talking about the same things” at the event, 15 years on, telling audiences that the innovations and solutions are in our hands. Unless they come to scale, they won't make an impact - something that, at PANGAIA, we are passionate about demonstrating. We are excited to share that we'll be hosting a session, "Triangular Innovation: Powering Progress Through Dynamic Partnerships," at the inaugural B Lab UK B Corp Festival — Louder Than Words. During the event, we’ll join 2,000 leaders using business as a force for good, including other B Corps, activists, allies, local communities, and ‘B’ curious businesses, to take action on what matters most. We are thrilled to bring together the powerhouses behind the RENU jacket—our innovative take on the classic jean jacket, made entirely from discarded clothing waste, and the first denim jacket in the world utilizing this technology. Alongside Evrnu®, SPC and Orta Anadolu, we will explore how collaboration can fuel transformative change, shaping the future of the apparel industry for the betterment of our planet. Don't miss the opportunity to be inspired, informed, and engaged at the forefront of sustainable fashion innovation. Find out more about the session and grab a ticket here: https://lnkd.in/edTy6UVz
