John started his career as an aircraft engineer in the RAF and after serving 18 years made the career move to an industry with no prior knowledge or experience, taking a role with Remark as a Telephony Engineer. Remark could see the potential in John and provided the training and environment for him to excel in his new career out in the civilian world. John demonstrated great leadership qualities and was promoted into a supervisory role and subsequently to a managerial position. As Remark grew within the data networking sector, John found his talent for network and fibre optic infrastructure and has led teams of engineers in some very exciting projects over the years. It is safe to say that John demonstrates our core business values each day, and this is reflected in the way he puts the needs of clients and the wellbeing of his team above all else. Everyone here at Remark agrees that John’s recent promotion to Operations Director is very well deserved. John Tomlinson, your commitment, integrity and loyalty to the business throughout the years is second to none. Huge congratulations from Remark on such a fantastic achievement, we are so excited to see what is to come and look forward to more of your jokes around the office.

Our innovation is driven by our customers. Because we believe that there’s no problem that can’t be solved. So when our customers come to us with a problem, we get innovative. We design solutions that meet their specific challenge. Our teams will look to exceed even the most complex needs. We don’t stop when things get difficult - no matter how big the problem. Did you know that office noise can be one of the most disrupting things in the work environment? In fact, noise distractions are amongst the most cited reasons people prefer homeworking to the office. So when employers ask for their teams to spend more time in the office, addressing noise distractions needs to be high on their to-do list. Sound masking is an ingenious technology that uses particular frequencies of noise to create a background ambience that overlaps with speech to cover it up. It cleverly makes an office appear quieter by raising the ambient noise level.

If you really want your staff to come back to the office… You’re going to have to do more to help them see the benefits. Workers have long been saying that their productivity and wellbeing are higher while working from home than in the office. So as employers call their teams back, they’re going to need to work hard to show that they’ve addressed these issues. 🍎 And that’s about more than free fruit in the break rooms! 🍎 Here are four really key ways you can adjust your office space to show your employees that you’re serious about their health and wellbeing. Need help creating enticing, well designed working environments? We'd love to help - www.remark-group.co.uk

The year certainly has gone by quickly and what a year it has been Daniel McIntyre. We are so pleased to have you part of the team at Remark Group and look forward to the exciting future ahead.
One year in with Remark Group and it’s flown by! Highlights have been passing my 2391, becoming a QS, building strong relationships with clients and colleagues & designing and managing numerous projects (which I couldn’t do without the team!). It was daunting starting a new job after 16 years at my old company. There’s that age old saying “the grass isn’t always greener”… on this occasion it very much was! Looking forward to the future 💪🏼

Remark Group proud to work on project within the new Charity Hub at Peterborough City Hospital. Remark had the privilege of delivering the electrical works which were required in readiness for the new Charity Hub opening for the North West Anglia Hospitals’ Charity at Peterborough City Hospital. The Charity, whose Patron is Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood, wanted the space to be light, fresh and friendly to all, and having followed the design brief provided to us for the supporting electrical works, the space certainly encompasses this. Remark used different styles of lighting and new LED picture panel fittings, which defines the different areas within the Charity Hub. The addition of a rotating disco ball elevates the space and makes a fun feature to visitors. Undertaking projects which are for the benefit of charities it is certainly rewarding, especially when knowing how this new area has already helped individuals who are sometimes facing challenging times. The Charity Hub was officially opened on the 12th April 2024 by Craig Revel Horwood and Remark had the pleasure of attending to support the charity, and of course have our dancing skills judged by the man himself under the disco ball!
