Good Work Partners recently shared a poll about working preferences, and a resounding 97% of you chose hybrid or fully remote, and it's easy to see why: ✅ Positive work-life balance. ✅ A boost in wellbeing. ✅ Customisable and flexible working environments to suit everyone. Remote work isn't for everyone, and we recognise that not all jobs can be offered as such, but we're a strong believer in flexible, and most importantly, accessible work, to ensure that good candidates are not excluded or overlooked. #HybridWork #RemoteWork #Diversity #Inclusion #Accessibility #WorkLifeBalance #Wellbeing

His achievements include raising £30 million to support various initiatives to ensure that many vulnerable individuals have a voice and access to essential services. He was a 2023 #DP100 finalist in the Business & Finance category and in the Education, Public and Third Sector category in 2021.

Imposter syndrome is the self-doubt of your intellect, skills, or accomplishments. Something we've all experienced we're sure. But how do you overcome it? ✅ Highlight your strengths and accomplishments: they can be easy to forget, but by having a comprehensive list, you can remind yourself when it’s time to apply. ✅ Avoid comparing yourself with others: the quickest and easiest way to feel like you’re not good enough is to make comparisons. Focus on you, your skills, your experiences, and what you can offer. If you’re right for the role, it’ll be clear. ✅ Acknowledge that perfection doesn’t exist: everyone has strengths and weaknesses, and there’s no such thing as perfect. Just show the best of you. ✅ Set realistic goals: whether this is updating your CV, or applying to a certain number of jobs in a week, small victories will increase your confidence. ✅ Network with like-minded people: as much as comparing yourself to others can be a negative, knowing that you’re not alone in your feelings is reassuring. Share your feelings of doubt, and learn from each other’s shared experiences. ✅ Accept good feedback: if you’re unsuccessful in getting the job, but receive good feedback, really listen to it. Acknowledge the positives, and move foward. Imposter syndrome can be damaging, and stop you from progressing in your career or simply applying for jobs, so it’s important that you spot it, and work on overcoming it. #ImposterSyndrome #Confidence #JobHunting #UKJobs #CVs #MentalHealth #Wellbeing

Class of 2024 Brilliant to watch our Steps into Work interns get recognition for their hard work over the last year. Steps into Work is a partnership between Transport for London and Shaw Trust Youth that supplies work programmes for young people that are neurodivergent or have learning differences. There are three placements over the year (8-12 weeks each) at our offices, stations and piers and the Greater London Authority which helps supply work experience and the tools to gain meaningful employment. Yesterday, graduates received their programme completion certificates watched, continually cheered and 'sustainably' applauded by parents, guests, TfL placement teams and the coaching teams at Shaw Trust. During the event we heard from interns and placement teams on their experiences from being involved and from our leaders Andy Lord & Fiona Brunskill and the CEO at Shaw Trust about the programme, praising the interns and recognising all those involved. Massive congratulations to our Skills & Delivery Employment Team and the Job Coaches from Shaw Trust who make it all happen and for another successful year of cohorts. Gloria Gaspard Amrita Singh Marilyn Trim Nadia Brobbey et al. My team has been involved for a few years now and was great to see our recent and extremely talented 'team members' Olli and Rudi achieving their well deserved acolades. We wish them all the best with gaining the careers they trully deserve and look forward to our new interns this September. Ready to start the new week by applying for some jobs? Here's six quick tips to keep in mind! ✅ Start with a solid profile: Before applying through job search engines, spend some time crafting your online profile. Use a professional photo, include an up-to-date CV, and highlight your key skills and experiences. ✅ Explore different platforms: There are plenty of job search engines out there, so don’t limit yourself to just one. Use multiple job sites to boost your search. You could also look at company career pages! ✅ Set up job alerts: Let the jobs come to you! Set up alerts for your target roles and consistently keep up to date with new postings. ✅ Tailor your applications: Make each application unique. Customise your CV and cover letter for the specific role, highlighting the relevant skills and experiences you have to match the job description. ✅ Use keywords wisely: When using job search engines, search smart, not hard! Use job titles and skills in your searches, experiment with synonyms, and filter results to narrow down your options. ✅ Stay positive and persistent: Keep going, even if it gets tough. Set daily or weekly job search goals, take breaks when needed, and celebrate small victories along the way. The hard work will pay off!
