🏔️🌟 Team Triumph on Mount Snowdon! 🌟🏔️ We're thrilled to share that our incredible team has reached the summit of Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa). Despite the torrential downpour and 40mph winds, we reached the top in good spirits! Our determination and teamwork shone through as we climbed every step, all for a cause close to our hearts: the Costa Foundation. The conditions in which we set off didn't dampen our spirits; instead, it added to the adventure and made every moment more memorable. We laughed, encouraged each other, and embraced the journey, knowing our efforts would make a difference. Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way. Hey everyone! In less than 48 hours, a group of us from Scoffs will be taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Snowdon. At 1,085 metres tall, it's the highest peak in England and Wales. We've been training hard (well, some of us more than others 💪), and we’re ready to conquer our fears for a cause that's close to our hearts. We’re doing this to raise money for the Costa Foundation, an incredible organisation dedicated to improving the lives of coffee-growing communities around the world through education and support. Your support means the world to us and can make a huge difference. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help provide better educational facilities and opportunities for children in these communities. ✨✨ INTERNATIONAL HR DAY ✨✨ It's International HR Day and here at Scoffs, we wanted to say a huge thank you to not just our own People Team (although they are pretty awesome!) but to shout out to all HR and People professionals across our network! Today we want to recognise all People professionals who work so hard to ensure that our company's most valuable asset - our employees - are managed efficiently. Often these people are working behind the scenes and handle a lot of the grunt work - from hiring & onboarding, to resolving issues and ensuring that people are actually happy working here. 🌱🎉 Celebrating Sustainable Progress! 🌍💚 Scoffs Group UK are thrilled to share some exciting updates on our sustainable journey and the significant progress we've made towards reducing our environmental impact. Energy Efficiency Milestones: 🎯In 2023, we achieved a remarkable reduction in our kWh/m2 to 334, surpassing the industry benchmark of 440 kWh/m2. This is a substantial improvement from the previous year, where we were above the benchmark. CO2 Emissions Reductions: 📉We halved our CO2 emissions in 2023 compared to 2022, despite increasing our estate by 21 stores at the end of 2022. This achievement underscores our commitment to sustainability. Continued initiatives: 🔍We've implemented a range of initiatives and will continue to do so, including upgrading low energy equipment, ensuring we are 100% LED lighting, building insulation, promoting the use of economic/hybrid company vehicles, and so much more. Future Commitment: 🤝Our journey towards sustainability is ongoing, and we're committed to achieving carbon neutrality by or before 2035. While these steps may seem small individually, collectively, they're making a significant impact on our business's sustainability for the future. We are incredibly proud of the dedication and efforts of our team in driving these positive changes.
