This week, we brought our RES Lounge to Intersolar in Munich and Global Offshore Wind in Manchester. It was great to connect with so many of our customers and industry friends, engaging in discussions about industry progress, challenges, and collaborative efforts to support the increased deployment of renewables. Our vision is to create a future where everyone has access to affordable, zero-carbon energy. 🌟 At Intersolar: Our digital team showcased some of our latest solutions, highlighting ways to streamline diagnostics and enhance solar farm yield by up to 20%. 🌊 At Global Offshore Wind: We celebrated Rovco joining our Offshore Wind O&M Partnership, completing our 'one-stop-shop' core package of quality O&M offshore wind services aimed at improving asset performance. A big thanks to Intersolar and RenewableUK for a great week. Find out more about our solar and offshore wind services https://lnkd.in/eYCJQ9u8 #solar #OffshoreWind #events #TogetherWeCan

📢Spoiler alert! We've put a super cute baby photo at the end of our PDF, so make sure you scroll through the carousel right to the end! The 15th June marks #GlobalWindDay, and this year it celebrates the passionate people who are proudly #WorkingInWind making it possible for us to deliver a future where everyone has access to affordable zero carbon energy. The wind industry has come a long way over the decades, and there’s now more opportunity than ever to pursue a career in renewable energy and help build a better future for generations to come. We decided to share a short reflection on how far the industry has come and how it’s our people that make it possible. If you already work in the wind industry, why not share a photo on social and tell people what makes it so special to you – you might inspire the next generation to join! Be sure to include the #GlobalWindDay and #WorkingInWind tags in your post and nominate others to do the same by tagging them. If you don’t work in the industry yet but are interested in opportunities, be sure to check out our careers site where you can read about what it’s like to work for RES and view our current vacancies: https://lnkd.in/gbV5Qvb4

Last weekend, we hosted a community day in Albacete, Spain, to coincide with World Environment Day. From cinema and music to theatrical performances, workshops for children, and more, the local community came together to enjoy a range of family-friendly activities. These activities aimed to highlight the importance of taking care of the environment and to showcase the transformative power of clean energy for the well-being of our planet. We’re also excited to share that we installed an #UmbrellaSky in the centre of Albacete. This initiative, in collaboration with the Spanish Association Against Cancer, aims to protect pedestrians from the sun and help boost commercial activity. As the world’s largest independent renewable energy company, we are committed to creating a sustainable net zero future, taking care of the environment and making a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work. Thank you to everyone who joined us, making it a great day and helping to inspire future generations. Find out more about our sustainability agenda https://lnkd.in/eqebhPFR

In the wind and solar world, there have been a number of recent and impressive technological advances. Despite this, there has been one under-explored area: asset data. Now, some owners are realising the power of asset data, and it’s hoped that more will follow suit soon. By providing a holistic view of asset performance, we give you the tools to optimise performance, streamline processes, and unlock growth. Next week, our digital team will be attending Intersolar in Munich and Global Offshore Wind in the UK. If you're attending either, come along and say hello and find out more about how we can support you. You can read some of our recent case studies in our digital e-book ⬇️ #RUKGOW24 #Intersolar2024 #Innovation

RiSE up for PRIDE Every year, companies across the world show up in recognition of Pride. But the reality is that our LGBTQ+ community expect more than a once-a-year acknowledgement. They want to drive real change, where change is needed, and where better to start than the workplace. UCLA research states that 1 in 3 LGBT employees have left a job due to a lack of LGBT inclusion in their workplace. At RES, the work of RiSE has impacted our colleagues, networks, regions and businesses, and through their committed efforts RiSE have driven change and powered progress internally. Today is #WorldEnvironmentDay, highlighting the urgent need for our generation to restore health to damaged environments. We are passionate about the environment and wildlife protection. Through our projects and on behalf of our customers, we promote biodiversity, protect and enhance habitats for various species, and work diligently towards decarbonising our value chain. Additionally, we support and invest in accredited emission mitigation activities that extend beyond our value chain, particularly those generating co-benefits for people and nature. For example, the Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve REDD+ project in Indonesia protects threatened peatland rainforest on the southern coast of Borneo, preventing its conversion to palm oil plantations. While we cannot turn back time, we can grow forests, revive water sources, and restore soils. We are the generation that can make peace with the land. Together, we can achieve #GenerationRestoration and secure a sustainable future for all.

Are you in the queue? With approximately 700GW of energy projects in transmission and distribution awaiting connection to the UK's National Grid, Energy Networks Director Patrick Smart outlines key reforms that can expedite the connection of these shovel-ready projects and explains how this can benefit landowners, developers and owners in 2024 and beyond. Our RES team proudly attended the Coota Girls Aboriginal Corporation Sorry Day event in Sydney, on Gadigal Land, as sponsors. The team participated in activities throughout the day in the spirit of healing and connection. Sorry Day on 26 May acknowledges the atrocities faced by First Nations children forcibly removed from their families and the ongoing impact on Stolen Generations and their communities. As we embark on Reconciliation Week (27 May - 3 June), this year's theme, “Now More than Ever,” reminds us of the ongoing fight for justice and the rights of First Nations people. At RES, we are committed to reconciliation through our work and our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). We recognise the deep connection First Nations people have with the land and believe that respecting this bond is essential in our mission for a future where everyone has access to affordable, zero-carbon energy. #NationalSorryDay #ReconciliationWeek #PowerForGood
