New technologies can close the huge offshore wind skills gap. 🌊 Our CEO, Brian Allen, spoke to Offshore Energy Today about how Rovco is harnessing AI and automation. "When you start using technology to solve the problem, it begins to close the skills gap slightly because you are able to force multiply. The same number of people can do two or maybe three times more work as a group… We are one of a few industries where AI doesn’t affect or threaten jobs. We're excited to share that Rovco has been awarded the site characterisation operations for Green Volt, set to be one of the world's largest floating offshore wind farms. 🌊 Our DP2 survey vessel, Glomar Supporter, will lead the geophysical surveys crucial for the anchor design of the floating turbines. This project, developed by Flotation Energy and Vårgrønn, will bolster Scotland's floating offshore wind sector, creating and upskilling jobs. Located 80 km east of Peterhead, Scotland, Green Volt will generate 1.5TWh of clean energy annually, reducing CO2 emissions by 1 million tons per year.
