Open For Business

Civic and Social Organizations

A coalition of companies making and promoting the economic & business case for global #LGBT+ inclusion.

About us

Open For Business is a coalition of 36 leading multinational corporations making and promoting the economic and business case for global LGBTQ+ inclusion. We are dedicated to making the case that open, diverse societies are good for business and essential to economic growth. Started alongside the Clinton Global Initiative in 2015, Open For Business has focused on promoting the economic and business case for inclusion to global audiences of senior business leaders. We have held conversations alongside global forums, such as the World Economic Forum at Davos. We have also held roundtables in eight countries around the world with anti-LGBT policies to engage local senior business leaders on the role that business can play to advance LGBT inclusion in those countries. These regions include India, Hungary, Kenya, Hong Kong, the Caribbean, and other countries in Africa and Asia. Watch eight influential leaders from our coalition partners discuss their commitment to Open For Business and the need for collective business action to advance global LGBT inclusion: https://youtu.be/kqbNIcQyChw Interested in learning more? First ever Deutsche Bank Pride event in São Paulo, Brazil! 🏳️🌈 For the first time in Latin America, Deutsche Bank hosted its own Pride event for clients, employees and partners, offering a supportive network for the LGBTQIA+ community within the bank. The event was opened by Luis Flavio Muzzi Mendes, Chief Country Officer in Brazil, who provided insights into how the financial market can guarantee a support network for members of the LGBTQIA+ community at any stage of their career through inclusive practices, opportunities and policies. 🤝 We also took the opportunity discuss the launch of the Business Investors Guide to LGBTQ+ Inclusion by Open For Business, a coalition of companies that defend and promote the economic and business reasons for the global inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community. The event reinforced Deutsche Bank's support for internal cultures that provide a welcoming and safe environment, and offer opportunities for members of the LGBTQIA+ community to showcase and increasingly enhance their talents in the corporate market. #DeutscheBank #dbPride #PrideSeason #Diversity

A fantastic piece from our treasurer, Ken Janssens "It has been demonstrated time and again that diverse-led organizations are: * Thirty-nine percent more likely to outperform those lacking diversity * Twelve times more likely to engage and retain employees * Nearly eight and a half times more likely to inspire a sense of belonging * Eight and a half times more likely to satisfy and retain customers" https://lnkd.in/gZ7RWfRm

Really looking forward to make the economic and business case for increased #LGBTQ+ inclusion at the European Economic Congress (Europejski Kongres Gospodarczy) in Katowice, Poland - one of Central Europe's largest business events, serving as a forum for broad, diverse and open discussion on the future of the European and Polish economy. Together with fellow panellists, Iza Chauffour (she/her), Katarzyna Fetter, Waldemar Olbryk (PMP, FRSA), Tina Sobocinska and Jen Tyldesley, and moderated by the fantastic Aleksandra Sobczak, we will discuss how to manage diverse teams and the benefits of #inclusion in organisations during this panel discussion. We will share best practice and approaches to tackling existing barriers in running open, inclusive companies, bringing together perspectives from both business and non-governmental organisations.
