OCS utilise technology such as Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) coupled with an advanced building analytics package to deliver energy and carbon savings by providing remote visibility of environmental conditions and control of heating and ventilation systems. A high-quality and well-maintained BEMS with a central software platform controls Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service (SCTS) buildings across the whole of the Scotland. This technology driven approach has helped SCTS cut their CO2 emissions by 26%. Aligned with our own ESG commitments and contributions, OCS are proud to be supporting our customers on their Net Zero Journeys. Did you know? OCS commit to 100% renewable electricity in our offices by 2025 and 100% electric or hybrid cars by 2034. We also commit to achieving Net Zero across scopes 1,2,&3 by 2040! What does scope 1,2&3 mean? Find out here - https://lnkd.in/eyxxnYGG Net zero is crucial in the fight against climate change. It means ensuring that any human-produced CO2 is removed from the atmosphere through technological or natural means. The U.N. climate science panel emphasises that man-made carbon dioxide emissions need to fall by about 45% by 2030, from 2010 levels, and reach “net zero” by mid-century. Achieving this balance of emissions and removals is essential to limit global warming to 1.5°C and avoid the worst impacts of climate change. Jacky So, ESG Director UK & Ireland said: “As a leading global Facilities Services business, OCS recognises the urgency of addressing climate change. Supporting net zero is not only our responsibility but also an opportunity to lead by example. We have ambitious plans to reduce our carbon output through sustainable practices and innovation.” 🌍🌱 Read more here - https://ocs.com/uk/esg/ #weareocs #tobeourbest #facilitiesmanagement #bestpillars #facilitiesservices #netzeroweek #netzero #esg #sustainability #renewableenergy Net Zero Week™

2 months, 8 locations, 4,020 items collected, and 1,146kg of CO2e saved. 🌱🌳 This Net Zero Week™, OCS is proud to share our commitment to sustainability by facilitating the recycling of our uniforms in partnership with Avena Group - just one of the many ways we’re helping to reduce our CO2e emissions. Recognising the impact of modern waste, particularly clothing waste — with about 30% of unwanted clothing in the UK ending up in landfill — we were determined to ensure that our growth and progress would not be marred by waste. In the two months of implementing the Avena SecureBrand recycling process, following our brand relaunch, OCS reduced the carbon emissions associated with uniform disposal by over 95% in comparison to what would have been emitted if these items were disposed of via Landfill. Michael Tippling, Sales Director at Avena commented “We are proud to support OCS in their commitment to sustainability. This initiative not only helps reduce textile waste but also sets a powerful example of how organisations can collaborate to make a positive environmental impact.” Read more about our partnership with Avena here - https://lnkd.in/etEiz6QZ #weareocs #netzeroweek #netzero #esg #sustainability #recycling #uniforms #facilitiesserives

We are thrilled to share that our commitment to creating a positive impact and fostering social value has been recognised in the City of London’s (CoL) Impact Report. This report not only celebrates the successes of the past financial year but also looks ahead to how we can continue to enhance our positive influence on the environment and the lives of Londoners. Our contributions have been highlighted in several areas: ➤ We’re proud to have delivered a learn-to-earn programme at Mulberry School for Girls in Tower Hamlets, where we taught financial literacy and career exploration skills to over 200 students. ➤Through our partnerships with ISS, PwC, and MACE, we’ve supported apprentices in their journey towards qualifications in fields such as engineering and business administration. ➤We’ve also invested in the future by providing 353 hours of environmental and sustainability training for both operative and managerial colleagues across our contracts with ISS. These achievements underscore our dedication to making a difference.
