Our Managing Director, Yohanes Jeffry Johary, will deliver a keynote titled "Elevating Facility Management for Environmental Resilience and Social Equity." The session will explore future trends in sustainable facility management, focusing on continuous adaptation for long-term sustainability and equity. Jeffry will cover integrating decarbonisation with social mobility, offering practical solutions to align environmental resilience with social equity, and addressing workforce and socioeconomic challenges in Southeast Asia. Jeffry will also join a panel discussing "The Circular Economy and Sustainable Business Models Debate." This discussion will explore corporate perspectives and initiatives regarding circular economy principles and sustainable business models. He will share OCS Indonesia's innovative approaches showcased at the 2024 Green Economy Expo in Jakarta earlier this July, to the World Workplace APAC forum. Accompanying him are Ricardo Purba, Chief Operating Officer, and Baoa Sinaga, Chief Commercial Officer. We had the pleasure of celebrating two achievements of our colleagues in one day, last week! Congratulations to Aditya Julian, the TRUE Stars Award winner, and Dedy Roza, who reached his retirement with OCS Indonesia! Aditya works as a cleaner at a manufacturing client's site in Bandung, West Java province. Frequent flooding near the client's facility prompted him to clean the drains of mud and garbage, even though it wasn't part of his job. He motivated his colleagues to join him, and many were willing to help. Aditya was recognised for demonstrating the Respect of OCS TRUE values. Dedy served as our Regional Director until June 2024, after eight years with us. During his tenure, Dedy consistently led with dedication and innovation, greatly contributing to our growth and success. The celebration took place during our monthly town hall meeting, attended by over a hundred colleagues nationwide. From our Jakarta head office, we held a special honouring moment through "potong tumpeng," a ceremonial dish of yellow rice served in a cone shape, to recognise Dedy's contributions to the company and the industry. Besides that celebration, we had our financial updates presented by Muchamad Taufan, Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, and Mangatas Sinaga, Head of Procurement, who provided key takeaways from the APAC & ME Procurement Conference. We also invited Fabrice Gaullier, a branding expert, to share his knowledge and expertise on personal branding with our colleagues. Thank you to everyone who took part in our celebration. We're excited to have hosted the OCS Asia Pacific and Middle East Procurement Conference in Jakarta, last week. The three-day event, opened by OCS Indonesia's Managing Director, Yohanes Jeffry Johary, was led by Laurent T., the Regional Procurement Director of OCS APAC & ME; Alexandre Gerard, the newly appointed Chief Financial Officer of OCS APAC & ME; and Andi Saputra, OCS Indonesia's CFO. They joined forces with eight of our procurement leaders from various countries, including Mangatas Sinaga from Indonesia, Debby Wong from OCS Australia & New Zealand, Jhay Mark Hipolito from OCS Singapore, Christina Kunaratnam from OCS Malaysia, Natpaphat Pipatkulkij from PCS Thailand, Marco Polo Alano from OCS Philippines, Sajid Madad Ali from OCS India, and Sophaleap Leav from Cambodia to brainstorm and share ideas through workshop and meetings with our leading suppliers. At OCS Indonesia, procurement is the backbone of our operations, ensuring we source the best products, optimise costs, and build strong relationship with suppliers as our business partners. This conference provided valuable insights and strengthened connections with our regional colleagues, driving growth and collaboration across the region. OCS Indonesia is honoured to be invited to the B A P P E N A S (Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning)'s Green Economy Expo 2024, held from July 3 to 5 at the Jakarta Convention Center. The event, themed "Advancing Technology, Innovation, and Circularity," aims to provide a platform for public institutions, private companies, and non-governmental organisations to promote inclusive and sustainable development through green economy practices. At the expo, OCS Indonesia is partnering with Diversey Indonesia, a Solenis company, to showcase our innovative solutions, demonstrating both partners' commitments to sustainability. Nina Arsih, OCS Indonesia's Commercial Excellence Director, shared, "We manage all our work processes digitally, from e-recruitment, e-contracts, and e-training to our integrated workplace management system, e-patrol, and smart cleaning solutions. This approach helps us save at least 160 trees annually by reducing paper usage." During the exhibition, we were pleased to present our green solutions to notable attendees, including the British Deputy Ambassador to Indonesia and Timor Leste, H.E. Matthew Downing, and the Ambassador of Denmark to Indonesia, H.E. Sten Frimodt Nielsen. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the UK in Indonesia - British Embassy Jakarta and the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning for featuring us at the event. Creating something valuable from waste and sharing it with others - this is how Heri, a supervisor at OCS Indonesia, shows his commitment to the community. Heri works at a hospital, where there's a large amount of organic waste generated daily. He has developed a routine to collect this waste and turn it into liquid fertiliser. He then bottles the fertiliser and shares it with the community. Heri stands up and takes action for the environment and the people around him. Want to join our movement? Meet Juli, a supervisor at one of our customer sites in West Java. Every day, his team collects a lot of organic waste. Instead of just dumping it, Juli had a great idea to help the environment: He turns the waste into natural compost, then gives this natural fertiliser to anyone who can use it. Juli’s actions show how important it is to take action and help out. He sets a great example for his coworkers.
