New #research we’ve unveiled today highlights the role parents, caregivers and guardians have in creating a positive relationship with movement for the young girls in their lives. 🟢 Almost a quarter of parents* with children aged 11 – 16 are motivated to #exercise to be a positive role model for their children, and this increases in parents of young girls 🟢 80% of parents believe they positively influence their daughter’s movement habits, and 76% of daughters agree 🟢 57% of parents surveyed want to exercise more frequently with their daughter to have more quality time together In response to these findings, we’re encouraging parents to take action by role-modelling positive relationships with #movement to increase engagement in young girls. This is why #MoveTogether, our free programme for girls aged 11 to 16 is so important, as it aims to get girls moving in a safe and enjoyable environment. Parents accompanying their children can also enjoy a complimentary free day pass to the gym this summer. For more information visit: https://lnkd.in/exAZArxy Former Lioness and Nuffield Health ambassador, Fara Williams MBE, alongside online content creator, Chessie King, spoke to us about how their attitudes and behaviours towards movement has changed from childhood to present, to listen to the full podcast, click the link below; https://lnkd.in/eDeUwend *the term ‘parents’ refers to parents, caregivers and guardians

Earlier this week Mary O'Reilly, our Chief Communications Officer, joined a panel debate to tackle the topic of #womenshealth and the inequalities they face, as well as the critical role brands can play to support and #empowerwomen in this space. Hosted by 23red CEO, Jane Asscher, Mary was joined by wider industry leaders Holli Kellett, Corporate Affairs Specialist at Morrisons, Kate Dale, Director of Marketing at Sport England and Elisa Sai, Vice President of AI & Analytics at Capgemini Invent, to explore what women really want in relation to their health and, more specifically, what they hope to see from different brands in support of this. With 59% of women saying they would welcome #health information from brands, there is both opportunity and responsibility to infiltrate this audience, but it needs to be done in the right way to educate & empower women. Are you looking to engage this audience and aren’t sure where to start? Read each panellists key takeout below:
