Another day, another demo... We had a lot of fun doing a speed demo this week for Slaughter and May's clients through their Client Innovation Network ⚡ Also very happy to announce that we've been accepted into the prestigious Barclays Eagle Labs Funding Readiness Programme where we'll do some groundwork ahead of our fundraising round 🚀

Last week was a big one for Notarist! 1️⃣ We had the privilege of attending the flagship Cohort Day as part of Slaughter and May’s Collaborate programme. The day was thoughtfully structured, with talks on a range of key topics including funding, customer success, scaling up and adoption. A huge thank you to Richard Batstone, Rhys Hodkinson, Alex Baker, Emma Walton, Will Seaton, Patrick Skinner, Emily Lew, Annabel Allen and Jane Stewart for sharing your learnings, and to the Collaborate team for their incredible organisational skills 🌟 2️⃣ As part of the Collaborate programme, we held our first live demo of Notarist in an exclusive preview at a firmwide session at Slaughter and May. It was a huge success – we had a ton of engagement and a packed Q&A 💬 After the demo we received great feedback, including from a trainee who expressed that “Notarist would be really helpful in turning my handwritten to-do list into a live action tracker”. Notarist is still in development and currently available via waitlist only, but we’re delighted to see it resonating with its audience. Watch out for our beta launch date 🔜

We got into the LawtechUK Builder programme! Excited to take part this autumn and meet our fellow cohort members 💡 We’ve made a ton of progress in the last few months 👇🏼 💼 Secured SEIS/EIS advance assurance from HMRC 🛠️ Been hard at work on our product (beta launching in a few weeks 🤞🏼) 📣 Received valuable feedback from our first few demos for Collaborate with Slaughter and May 🚀 Got accepted into the LegalGeek Startup Programme 👀 We’ll be featured in the upcoming GenAI Market Map by The LegalTech Fund so keep your eyes peeled! Watch this space for exciting updates in the next few months!

Last night we welcomed our 2024 Collaborate cohort to our offices for a welcome drinks to meet our team and each other. Congratulations to all the startups that have been selected for Slaughter and May's latest cohort for its Collaborate incubator programme! (See full details of the cohort members in the AL article.) 👏 👏 🚀 For this fourth cohort, the firm sought especially to bring in those companies exploring generative AI – and every company picked has some element of AI within it to a greater or lesser extent. This fourth cohort has also resulted in the highest number of applications to date, the firm told Artificial Lawyer, which has got to be a good sign and signals a healthy legal tech startup environment. We're delighted to have been selected to take part in the 2024 cohort of Collaborate by Slaughter and May! This year's cohort has a focus on #generativeAI uses in #legaltech, a very hot topic at the moment. GenAI is a big part of our offering and we firmly believe in its productive potential for lawyers.
