As Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar, approaches, you might be preparing to pay Zakat. 🙌 Zakat, the third pillar of Islam, asks Muslims to give a portion of their wealth to certain underprivileged groups. It's not a tax or charity, but a compulsory act of worship commanded by Allah (swt). Do you know the four sacred months in Islam? 📅 They are Rajab, Dhul-Qa’dah, Dhul-Hijjah, and Muharram! ’Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve[lunar] months in the register of Allah [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them' (Qur’an, 9:36) During these months, we are commanded to maintain pure intentions, righteous behaviour, and avoid sinning and historically, these months allowed pilgrims to perform Hajj and 'Umrah safely. 🙌 Do you have an action plan for the new year?
