What makes Toolbase stand out in the crowded field of tool management systems is its contactless and highly organized approach. This not only streamlines tool handling but also enhances safety—an essential feature in today's pandemic-conscious world. "In the past, tool setup involved a lot of unnecessary interaction," Holden explained. "With Toolbase, we’ve minimized these interactions, promoting social distancing and reducing potential disruptions on the shop floor." The strategic partnership with TCM Group and #WinTool AG has bolstered Haimer’s capabilities, creating a seamless integration of hardware and software. At their Motzenhofen plant, the implementation of Toolbase has already shown impressive results, with significant reductions in inventory and operational costs within just a few months. But the real magic of Toolbase lies in its simplicity and user-friendly design. Holden emphasized that the system was tested rigorously in Haimer’s own production facilities before being rolled out to customers. “We digitized over 10,000 items, ensuring that information is always accessible regardless of the user,” he noted. This meticulous attention to detail ensures that the system is not only efficient but also intuitive for operators, making transitions smooth and hassle-free.
