New data from WHO reveals more adults are inactive and are not meeting the recommended levels of physical activity. The gap in participation based on age and gender is also widening, with women much less likely to participate in physical activity compared to men. Here at Mitre Sports we are committed to help consumers have an active, healthy but also sociable lifestyles, and we're looking forward to working with World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) and other sporting brands to help combat this growing health crisis.    In 2024, we’ve partnered with Miss Kick Foundation to help shake the stigma and support more girls to take up football, providing coaching training and qualifications for aspiring females and encouraging more girls to get more involved in the game. We have worked with female professional footballers to deliver immersive workshops and delivered motivational sessions at schools. Recently, we’ve teamed up with PERCIVAL Menswear to support and provide kit and balls for  ‘Training Sessions’ events held at various spots around London over the summer, building communities for a casual kickabout with mates. We will always be committed to provide quality footballs for all levels of the game, so all that’s left to do - is just enjoy being a part of the game we all love. #physicalactivity #sportinggoods #wfsgi #who

MITRE UNVEILS NEW MILLION DOLLAR BALL FOR THE SOCCER TOURNAMENT Mitre has today revealed the design of the Million Dollar Ball, which will serve as the official match ball of The Soccer Tournament (TST). The 7x7 world championship will be the first event ever to feature a $1 Million, winner-take-all prize for men and $1 Million, winner-take-all prize for women. The partnership sees Mitre continue to supply Ultimax Pro footballs across the six-day tournament, attended by teams from across the globe, including representation from the UK, Europe, Brazil, and Asia, all competing in the 7v7 high stakes knockout competition. Kicking off on the 5th – 10th June in Cary, North Carolina, this year, eight women’s teams will also be taking part to win an additional $1m prize fund. Teams from the UK include Burnley, Swansea, and Wrexham alongside Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, and esports club Hashtag United to name a few. With Sergio Aguero, Mario Ballotelli, Troy Deeney and David Beckham’s youngest son Cruz among confirmed players. The TST x Mitre Ultimax Pro will be the official match ball – the brand’s world-renowned FIFA Pro approved football. Dubbed as the ‘Million Dollar Ball’, the new look is forward-thinking, abstract and synergises TST's bold take on soccer. Featuring a black base, with inverted silver deltas and flecks of gold detailing, to highlight the prestige of the knockout competition. TST’s mantra ‘Winner Take All’ is incorporated into the design to embody the prize at stake and the excitement of the tournament. Jack Richardson, Mitre Brand Director said: “The Soccer Tournament last year was such a great success with US team Newton Pride FC, an underdog grassroots team taking home the prize. It was a no brainer for us to want to be involved for a second year. Our iconic Ultimax Pro is the perfect ball for the tournament, built for the pro level, delivering ultimate power and on pitch performance. We continue to be a front runner in ball development and technology and are confident this year’s new design will be help us continue to grow awareness and distribution in the US. Supported by our new offering of replica and mini balls which enables players and fans at all levels of the game to get involved.” John Mugar, Founder and CEO of The Tournament (TBT/TST) said: "We are excited to announce that 80 free Ultimax Pro footballs will be thrown into the crowd prior to our championship games Monday night June 10," said The Tournament Founder/CEO Jon Mugar.
