Since June 2022, we have followed the fortunes of Britons in the face of the cost-of-living crisis, exploring the impact of elevated costs on people’s outgoings and behaviours. In our latest wave we focus on the ‘Storm-Weatherers’: the 40% of the population who have been more resilient to high inflation and interest rates. They are a surprisingly varied group. We have recently begun a new partnership with WYK Digital - a social enterprise digital skills training organisation, that helps remove barriers to entry for young people from all walks of life, and help them gain access to careers within digital marketing. This week, we hosted our first ‘Insight Day’ in our office, where 25 of WYK’s Analytics students spent the day learning more about what it's like to work in Media. Hosted by our brilliant Apollo Data team, students took part in analytical projects, had insight into the day in the life of our wonderful Analytics Manager Mollie Craig, and also had the opportunity to ask data-related questions on a Q&A panel with some of our data team – Regine Raule, Michael Furness, Tony Oakley, and Tracy Cheng. The afternoon then consisted of a deeper dive into the interview process and what a strong application looks like. Shoutout to our Talent Acquisition Manager, James Ashton who helped run a successful CV workshop and shared really valuable feedback to the students on their CVs and cover letters.
