OOH Best of the week: 4creative, London for Channel 4 A mural created by artist Florence Burns, who is herself disabled, to go alongside the Channel 4 Paralympic Games OOH campaign. Situated at Village Underground in Shoreditch, London, it echoes the sentiment of the poster campaign, showing a Paralympic athlete striking through the patronising section of a statement. The mural was created with experiential agency Fever and painted by Global Street Art. Research commissioned by Channel 4, showed that 59% of people said they watch the Paralympic Games to “see athletes overcoming their disabilities” whereas just 37% say they watch the Paralympics for “exciting sporting competition”. About us
Lürzer's Archive, the celebrated creative resource for advertising professionals worldwide, has been offering a full set of inspirational tools since 1984: the magazine; 200 Best Specials; and a soon to be updated website with 30 years of great advertising to explore in our archive.. It was back in the early 1980s that advertising copywriter and agency owner Walter Lürzer banged his fist down on the table and resolutely shouted out to himself: "If no one's going to do it for me, I'm going to have to do it myself - for everyone!" What he was referring to, back in that dark pre-internet era, was the laborious process of hunting out and compiling advertising campaigns from around the world. In those days, there were not many ways of finding out how products and services were being advertised in, say, America, Asia, or individual European countries. The first issue of Lürzer's Archive magazine was published October 1984 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and today the title has over 150,000 readers worldwide.

Lürzer's Archive x Good Ads Matter Here’s a weekend reminder for you to travel more before it’s a little too late! Flight Centre’s campaign to advertise their student flights gives the youth a glimpse into their future and encourages them to pack that bag and get on the road, or more precisely, air! The attention to detail is what makes this ad all the more fun and personal. It is, however, the same attention to detail that could raise many questions had it been launched today, right? Questions like “when did age become a restriction?” and “why is it only the woman that is carrying diapers?”– and perhaps rightfully so. Launched almost 10 years ago, this campaign was targeted solely at students, and what do you know, it seems to have worked quite in their favour! What do you think about this ad? • Lürzer's Archive commemorates a momentous milestone by curating the 40 greatest ads of the past 40 years.
